How do I pay you?
Our invoices may be paid online using credit card or e-transfer (e-mail to [email protected]).
All quoted rates are in Canadian Dollars.
When do I pay you for editing services?
Once we have entered into an agreement to edit your work, and an invoice is calculated based on the word count of your manuscript, 50% of the total bill is due before work begins. Once the manuscript has been edited, you can review it and request minor changes. We will address those revisions and get your final approval; the remaining 50% payment is due at that point, and your edited manuscript will be released to you once invoice is fully paid.

- Total WORD count (NOT page count)
- Synopsis
- Indicate whether the book will include images (b/w or colour), and if so, how many images will be included.
- Your name and a short bio and publishing history, if any.
- A brief paragraph telling us why you wrote this book.
- Attach any 500-word section of your manuscript highlighting form, style and content. (Word, Pages and Plain Text are all acceptable). We'll let you know if your manuscript is a good fit for Silverdog Publishers. If so, we'll provide you with a free sample edit of the 500 words you sent us along suggestions for your next steps. Keep in mind that almost all accepted manuscripts require some level of editorial service.
- Based on the number of words in your manuscript, we'll provide you with a quote.
- If your manuscript file is larger than 8 MB, we'll set up a project Dropbox for you to use. *You don't need your own personal Dropbox account.
